2. By bank owned properties I assume you mean foreclosure. Some banks will openly list them on their website and others will not. In my opinion, the best way is to contact the bank directly and indicate that you are interested in purchasing bank owned property, many banks call it Other Real Estate, or ORE. They would be thrilled to speak to you as they are not in the business of real estate and typically looking to unload the property quickly. This will sound tedious, but scouring the legal notices in the local paper will give you a head start on others looking to snatch a recently foreclosed property.
