Upcoming Foreclosures

Has Governor Corzine lost his mind?

Did anyone hear his speech last night? This guy is so out'a touch with NJ how can he be the Governor? He's raising property taxes again; he can't see that foreclosures are skyrocketing. The cost of living in NJ has gone up almost 25% in two years. Between trains, gas, food, taxes he's destroying the state. He's so out of touch with the middle and lower classes he should not be in office. It's getting absurd. Average taxes for a 50x100 lot in jersey is over $6k. That is criminal; this guy has got to go. Here's a message for you sir, if the government has no money stop spending it! Cut, don’t raise expenses, eliminate them, and recycle vehicles; why do cops need brand new vehicles every year? stop spending!!! Find a way to make money without taxes; you’re supposed to be a business man for Pete’s sake that’s why you were elected. Your job is to look after the people of your state not make their lives miserable.

  1. Sadly, it happens all the time. Michigan's governor did the same thing... raising taxes to cure a failing economy. It's insane, but it's all that politicians know. They simply don't get it, they don't understand that incentives matter. Corzine should know better, he worked in the private sector.
  2. I do agree with what you say about scaling down, instead of raising taxes again. But, he is still trying to pay off the last governers romp in the state. He wasn't good with money either. I was hoping a business man would do better than he has been doing as well.
  3. Makes you wonder where all his fiscal crisis rhetoric was his first 2 years in office.
  4. Yes, he has no idea about his constituents. He's horrible for the middle-class and I can't understand how he became so wealthy. He's from the private sector and should know how to make money. I'm really shocked he's such a terrible governor. He should expand the NJ State Insurance Company, open more state run businesses. He needs to make money. He knows about the market, he has the financial resources of the state to make proper investments. He's stuck thinking in the box and it's killing the state.
  5. Yes, what a spaz. Why raise taxes again? He said he wouldn't so that means he's a liar. I also think they should stop building new roads everywhere, they're ripping down trees and expanding roadways all over. It's not going to help anyway, traffic is traffic.
  6. Geez, I guess I am glad I do not live there. It has always been more expensive to live up in that area verses Texas. I just do not know how people who suppose to work for the people, just ignore us. Man that is highway robbery. Yes, I would get real mad and start calling and faxing him to let him know the well is dry!!! We have the same problem with immigration but everyone turns a blind eye. I feel your pain. Our government is so tax and spend. They do need to quit spending!!!!!!!
  7. It almost seems like Washington is against NJ. GWB should be kissing the State's butt; with the amount of petrol/oil going through the State. Don't forget the Trade Center is part of NJ. Another massive expense that Corzine can't get involved with. Just build a Memorial and in 20 years rebuild the WTC, because DC is not going to help. Even though they definitely should. I think Corzine is doing the best he can with the limited brainpower available. Maybe we should all email him our ideas? My fist suggestion is if GWB won't help, lets do it ourselves: give NJ residents the option to have their property taxes taken directly from their paycheck. This will lower the employees salary and they'll get to pay lower Fed tax. The employee will also get to file for interest paid in April. Right now most people with a mortgage pay through the lender/insurance company. It'll have a compounding effect, take this base money and offer a NJ State Credit card. It'll take a few years but NJ will have a steady flow of income. #2 - Southampton, NY buys foreclosure/problem properties. They fix them up with Government money, rents them or resells them. But they'll grow in value with time. Use the NG/Reserves to do the repairs, they need something to do anyway. Get a marketing team to promote the idea you'll have kids enlisting left and right just to learn the skill. DC will love it too, it'll give them a wider foundation of potential soldiers.
