  1. I am investing as much as possible. I could not be happier! I have never had an ARM though.
  2. It made my apprasila values for taxes go down and saved me about $600 this year!! Awesome!
  3. not much. we're tenants, not owners. and i'm out of the stock markets since i'm convinced that the banks will record much more in losses in the months/years to come than they've already reported. smile -- thinking works
  4. Business is booming getting people out of adjustable rate mortgages. It's been a great weeding out of the mortgage industry!
  5. Crisis means opportunity in Chinese language. So, my guess is good and bad go hand in hand. One suffers but another is a winner. Those who have cash now will be able to make a killing but the thing is do we actually have any economic problems at all? If we do then why are home prices are still so high in many areas like Las Vegas or CA? They have dropped somewhat but not as if there is a bubble. A stock market bubble normally have a drop of 90% for internet stocks and go down to zero afterwards. This has always been like this on Wall Street. One sells at a price and another buys the same stock and it goes up much higher and another might get in at the peak and falls and loses all his money and suffers. That is life in a capital world. One has to learn from his mistakes or else one might be living on the streets and lining up in soup kitchens.
  6. Well, it actually infuriates me that Bush wants to step into to help those with ARMs so they don't default: I own my own home now but could afford a bigger/better place if prices came down enough -- which they would if a significant number of the sub-prime borrowers were allowed to default on their mortgages. Why shouldn't these people accept responsibility for their idiocy and/or malfeasance?
  7. i always pay cash for anything i buy or sell so it does not directly affect me unless i chose to sell one of them. But it has kept the few rental properties i own at 100% occupancy with a waiting list.
