Upcoming Foreclosures

Anyone here of Government buying foreclosures and making them Section 8?

Dont know if this is country wide but I know here in S FL it has created a huge problem. Anyone hear of the government buying all these foreclosure and making them Section 8? Just wondering if this is countrywide or just our state. Excuse me I mistyped the subject heading. I meant HEAR OF

1. the gov does not make anything section 8. Buyers of RE file for permission to be qualified to accept city/fed financed tenants under the fed programs. Any apt anywhere can become Section 8 if the landlord wishes. [the gov is buying the mortgages not the property.]
2. very true kemperk, the government does not buy homes for section 8. They only regulate them and subsidize them. It is up to private individuals to purchase a home and apply to have it covered under section 8. I think you may have heard wrong because Florida is no different than any other state when it comes to section 8.
3. I agree the government is not in the RE business, the owners that possibly purchase the buildings from the Gov. Apply for Sec. 8 approval so the new owners are responsible.
