Upcoming Foreclosures

How do I stop foreclosure on my property?

How do I stop foreclosure on my home/shop? I live in a metal building and have 33 acres and have been unemployed over 1yr. My lender is calling the note in 18 days no one will lend to me because the building has more storage area2/3 than living1/3 will not meet requirements for home loan and if it did the property would be worth more than the home to get home loan.

  1. You cannot unless you pay your loan in full and bring it up to date.
  2. meet with your lender, a short sale real estate agent, a real estate attorney, and determine how to solve this problem. a foreclosure doesn't happen within minutes -there are notices & warnings for at least 2-6 mos prior to the action. get some credit counseling & start making better choices.
  3. it sounds like you currently have a private note on the property? what kind of deed do you have? if you hold a dead of trust you have 90 days from start of forclosure to the actual auction, if you hold an agrement the time varies depending on how long you have been in the property and how much you have paid. if you have a goverment insured loan on the property there is goverment programs that can help you keep your home.
