what will happen if i got a willful injury of the real property of the state charge for a first offense?

I got a citation for wanton and willful injury of the real property of the state...is my first offense do i need to get a lawyer ...and how serious is this..... my court date is 22 of feb and im 18 I didnt do anything at all it was one of my friend i was wrong pace wrong time but it was a bridge

1. they may have a pre trial intervention program that you can pay alot of money to and do community service and it never be on your record, if not....what did you do tear up a cop car or a school bus?? anyways they can get serious about those things but you being so young you will probably see the easy side of the justice system this time,stop doing dumb stuff your friends think is funny, just next time sit back and watch them and laugh so you dont get caught up
2. More info is needed but in most cases of this nature it is prosecuted as a misdemeanor offense and can result in up to 1 year in jail and a 2,500.00 fine you would do well to have an attorney.~
