Should banks stop home foreclosures?
Our tax money is given for a variety of reasons. I understand people's grief when so many is struggling to get through this crisis. The money we gave the banks was misused. It bought property, vacations, other banks and fill their wallets full of cash. They showed the American People they gave money away to those who did not need it. Not once, but twice! I believe if they used some of that money and helped the home owners to save their land, all that money would cycle back to the banks anyway and so many would not be homeless. Should the government help the American home owners that are struggling? You damn right they should! The People of America should be 1st priority! Our backs made the wealthy rich, time to SHARE THAT WEALTH WE HELPED EARNED THEM! Problem is, without the blue collar workers, the white collars will drown in their tears if they had to break a real sweat and wear a blister. Don't take that harsh, it does take both to advance. Can't have one without the other. Like a wheel needs the axle. Just saying, we all worked hard and deserve a fair shake. At the very least, stop the foreclosures they put us into and give those folks a reasonable chance to get on their feet AS WE GAVE THEM!

- Hopenow.com A HUD agency is restructuring loans for those that are a month or two behind. They make it so that your loan is not more than 31% of your take home. Now, if you lose your job, they can't help you, since there is no way you can pay back though. There's only so much help the gvt can dish out. /
- No since the majority of homeowners are paying their bills.
- It depends, Some yes, some no. Many people worked hard to purchase their homes and are in danger of losing them through no fault of their own. I am completely in favor helping those people out. In other cases people purchased homes they couldn't afford with next to nothing down and have next to nothing invested in them. I think it would be unfair to the rest of us to allow them to keep those houses.
- If you owned a restaurant would you shut your doors if there was a salmonella outbreak? Probably not. Banks make money by making loans and earning interest for themselves and their customers. If someone doesn't repay the loan the bank has the right to take the secured property and sell it to recoup their customers money. It's not the banks money anyway. The money belongs to the banks customers like you and me. If my bank didn't foreclose on bad loans and make them good we would all be losing money. And besides, I pay my house note. I've been unemployed for 6 months and had to deal with Hurricane Ike but by God I will make sure I have a roof over my head - even if I have to eat soup and beans.
