Upcoming Foreclosures

Ohio Foreclosure Laws?

Our house is being sold at a public auction on Feb. 28th as a result of foreclosure. I am just wondering if anyone knows when we will have to vacate the premises no one has ever told us. I am just debating when we should start looking for another place to live. I have heard it may be 18 months after the sale and then I have heard a week before the sale. if it is a week then we need to hurry up and find a new place.

  1. In Ohio, all foreclosures are handled through the courts. The typical timeline for an Ohio foreclosure is seven months. The borrower has a right to redeem the property at any time before the sale is confirmed by paying the balance owed and court costs.
