How long does it take for a bank to approve of the purchase of a bank owned foreclosed property?

I put a full priced offer in on a beautiful brand new home that was in foreclosure. Its been 2 months and still no word. My realtor claims she has contacts that should get back to her but never has...is this normal? I am unaware of anyone buying the house and still appears to be for sale

1. Yeah, the bank is waiting for more offers they will probably not receive. I'd say stick to your agent like glue. Call her every other day and have them call their "contact". Stay on her. If you don't get an answer in a couple more weeks, get the broker involved. Perhaps they can shake things up. Perhaps the threat of you pulling your offer will stoke the fire under their butts.
