Upcoming Foreclosures

Can my home equity line lender force me to sell (or into foreclosure) if I own almost 70% of my home?

We are not in foreclosure but this bank has had trouble. I'm trying to understand our position should they demand full payment of the equity line.

  1. Unless you have a ballon or a demand on the loan or are not making payments, they have to abide by the terms of your loan. A lender cannot make a demand for payment if you are following the terms of your areement. Most likely if they are in a bad way another bank will buy your loan. Good luck
  2. If you are not making the payments then yes. Does not matter how much equity you have it is whether or not you are continuing to make payments. Second are you sure that your home is worth what you think it is in todays market, the equity you think you have just may not be there.
  3. If you are behind in your payments, then I HIGHLY recommend giving Kevin Pugliese over at American Modification Agency a call. He was my advisor and AMA saved my home. His # is (877) 262-3911 x 2170. I wish you the best, and let me know how it goes.
