foreclosure questions (ohio)?
today we got a pink slip on our door saying to contact someone about our house to work something out. we called but the office was closed. what are the next steps if we want to save our home? how far into the foreclosure process are they or has it even began? thanks.

- Some lenders start at 60 days without payment and nearly all start at 90 days without payment. You should know how many days behind you are. If you want to save your home pay the amount necessary to "cure" the delinquency.
- Call and call and call some more. E-mail too. Write snail mail to the folks you spoke with. If they are near enough to where you live or work, make an appointment to personally go in to get the matter resolved. Keep careful written records of the dates and times you called. Who you spoke with. What you talked about. ANYTHING you can do to remain on good terms with your lender USUALLY helps. GUARANTEED: it may get frustrating and aggravating. Keep going!
