What is the difference from a HUD home and a foreclosure home?

1. There is no difference in the homes themselves, save for the fact that HUD foreclosures are marketed by HUD, since HUD owns them, and other foreclosures are marketed by whichever lenders owns those homes. HUD guarantees loans made by banks, and accordingly ends up with ownership of those homes foreclosed on HUD guaranteed loans.
