- Hello Keiko, You have selected two very nice Western Washington areas. Finding bank owned/foreclosed property often referred to as "REO" property is best done through having contacts with the various lenders who you can find by googling the name of both cities. If you are looking for the best value, I recommend you contact two real estate agents in both areas and look for a pre-foreclosure property which should be an even better value than prior foreclosed upon property. Take your time because this market is going down for a long time before it recovers..... My personal favorite is Re-Max Realty because the agents are 100% committed to the deal and do not share commissions with the Re-Max house. This seems to make them more personally attentive to your needs and wants. Good luck.
- I work in Everett, WA, a bit North. I search public records daily for "Notice Of Trustee's Sale" and happen to notice on one that the Trustee Service has a website. It does in fact show many foreclosed homes and is free. You will have to enter your name, phone & email to view records, but it should set a cookie so you only have to do it once. http://www.usa-foreclosure.com/state.aspx?s=WA&sN=Washington You can also search "Notice Of Trustee's Sale" documents at the King County Public Records Site. I'd only put a week in at most, as there are going to be a lot of records... (05/19/2008 - 05/23/2008) http://www.metrokc.gov/recelec/records/ Both sites are going to give you a head's up on what is currently in foreclosure, not what has already been foreclosed and is now listed with real estate agents. There are many reputable 100% offices in King County area besides Re/Max. Most all offer 100% desk fees as opposed to splits with their broker.
- You can also get some good information at http://www.realestateofficestore.com for auction property and foreclosures.
