Foreclosures? If a house is on the market as a forclosure will the bank consider a lower offer? or is their asking price what they expect to get? Thanks
foreclosures? I was just wondering how many people on here, or people that you know are going through mortgage troubles, or foreclosures, it's happening to us and I wanted to see how widespread this damn thing is.
How do I buy foreclosures directly from the government? Do you have to be a real estate broker or agent (and have brokerage license) in order to buy directly from the government? What prices can I expect on foreclosures in our declining economy? I don't want to pay anything higher than expected in our current economy. Where can obtain the foreclosure listings and other info for free? Please direct me to a proper website that explains all this. Thanks.
What is causing so many foreclosures in todays real estate industry? My mom is a realtor in the Bay area and she hasn't been selling houses lately and now it is causing us to move to a smaller house. We used to be very rich and had a 4,500 sq foot home but now we live in a really small home because of nobody buying any houses...What is causing all these foreclosures and why isn't anybody buying homes lately? does the war and president bush have anything to do with this? and when are things going to get better? next year?
How many foreclosures are predicted for 2008? Just how many foreclosures are predicted for 2008 compared to 2007? With all these good people suffering from home loses, where the heck are they all moving too? There can't be that many apartments to rent?
What happen to the money for foreclosures? What has happen to money to buy foreclosures going bad? Millions of us now are facing or soon will be facing foreclosure due to these big banks. I am in the 23rd year of my 30 year mortgage and now lost my job as well as my wife and no work to be found. EI checks is not enough to live on and pay for food, clothing, utilities let alone our mortgage payment and the Employment Insurance checks is about to stop. Our savings is now gone as well as our retirement fund we had to dip into to survive this past year. Are we going to be forgotten? Where is our help?

I am looking to find lists of bank owned foreclosures in California, but I do not want to pay some website $50 to do a search for me. I would like to know if there is a website or service available that I can view past foreclosures sales within the last 2 years preferable the state of Texas but any info will help. How do I find REO and foreclosures in my area? I want to buy a house, but with my credit and the amount I want to pay a month, I need lower prices. I also can't buy a condo due to the FHA we are approved for. I want to be able to make a profit by buying it cheap as a foreclosure and then resell when and if the market goes sky rocketing in California again. Please help me find good and accurate websites with HUD foreclosures and REO properties so I may buy a house.
Was it GOP policy or the foreclosures that caused the economic mess? I see several people on here blaming GOP policy for the past couple of years for the mess we are in. Hate to say this, but the foreclosures were the driving force behind this problem. Banks, thanks to the CRA, were forced to loan money to people who could not afford a house and they got into bad loans. Fannie and Freddie sold Govt Secured Mortgages that were worthless. So this all comes back to the problems of the mortgage loans. Love how you guys still want to blame Bush for everything.
Can a agent get commissions from Foreclosures? I am currently a NYC real estate agent, my brokerage never dealt with foreclosures before. I found a foreclosure that one of my buyer wants to participate. Am I entitled to a commission? Do I get the commission from the bank?
How to find foreclosures in southern california? I'm trying to find foreclosed homes, but the trouble I'm having is every website I look at makes you sign up for a 7 day trial thing. Normally I would sign up for it then just go to a different one after the 7 days are up, however they all require you to put your credit card info in...and I'm not about to do that. So is there a website that is completely free or do I just need to find the foreclosures from a Real Estate Agent? Thank you!

Where can I look at home foreclosures? I am a first time home buyer and cannot find a house I like for the right price. I have asked my realtor how to look at foreclosures in my area and she said she didn't know how. I don't mind paying a little bit if I get to look at these foreclosed homes either online or in person, in detail, before taking any action on buying or getting an inspection. Someone said my bank would give me a list for free, but they said they couldn't.
Does anyone know how to find foreclosures without paying these websites? I'm looking for foreclosures in the Yakima, wa area. It seems the only way I can find them is to pay a web site for access to the info on them. My self I thought this was public info and I should be able to see them without paying a private company for the info. Does anyone know how I can access this info with paying for it?
DO real estate appraisals compare single owner homes to foreclosures when looking at price? My house just went under contract to sell. A lot of houses that have sold in my neighborhood in the last 6 months have been foreclosures, with very low prices. Are these the comps my appraiser will be looking at, or do they have to exclude foreclosures? Most of the non-foreclosures that have sold have been priced higher than me, but are bigger. I am worried, I want out!
Are two foreclosures just as bad for your credit as one? My husband and I are facing a foreclosure on our rental property and we're considering walking away from our primary residence, a condo, also. Would two foreclosures be just as bad as one? My husband and I are facing a foreclosure on our rental property and we're considering walking away from our primary residence, a condo, also. Would two foreclosures be just as bad as one? As an added bit of info- we already pursued a short sale with the lender for our rental and they let 6 months pass and 5 buyers walk. Our primary residence, the condo, has been up for sale for 6 months and we've had 2 offers that were too low for us to afford (we would have been owing money). We can't rent the condo and break even on our mortgage and there are 10 others just like it for sale with the owners having lots of equity to negotiate with (we used ours to buy the rental). While we understand that the foreclosure means that we will be renting for a very long time, we're wondering if we should just move before the condo's interest rate goes up and we are paying WAY too much for a one bedroom condo just for the sake of avoiding another foreclosure.
Foreclosures: How many people do you know? I am curious with all of the stories in the news about real estate foreclosures, how many people are actually being foreclosed on. Do you know of anyone who is suffering foreclosure? How many people? If not foreclosure, what are the other mechanisms they are using to avoid it?

If everyone in America were atheists, would it solve the problem of home foreclosures? How about if everybody in America belonged to your religion, whatever it may be? Would there be no home foreclosures then? I'm asking partly because of this recent quote from a financial web site, quoting the secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Steve Preston, as saying: "We expect to see more than 2 million foreclosures this year" (2009) If all Americans stopped believing in God -- or if we all gave our lives over to Jesus, if you prefer - could those 2 million anticipated home foreclosures be avoided? Why or why not?
What is the best search for newly filed foreclosures and bankruptcies ..HOW? We want to search newly filed foreclosures and bankruptcies so we don't spend months working on a property only to discover we've wasted not only our time and money, but perhaps others as well. We're told there is a free public records site through State Government where we can monitor foreclosure and bankruptcy filings, but I can't seem to track it down. If you know how to do this search I would greatly appreciate a heads up on it. THANKS

Why is Obama having a job fair and helping people with foreclosures? He will promote green jobs as they are advertising in the states to get Al Gores goal taken care of. As far as the foreclosures go those people were given loans way out of their wage earnings and that is their fault and the banks or organizations where they got their monies. He is just giving our monies away and not thinking like a President should when the economy is bad. Obama is making America go down fast.

I have had no luck with my local county clerks office either...
How do banks lose on loan foreclosures? If the bank owns the property after receiving mortgage payments, how does that put them into a losing situation. How many foreclosures occurred this year? How have housing starts afected the collapse of so many banks?
How to get up to date lists on foreclosures in my area? I live in Bucks county, PA and was wondering the best way to find information on foreclosures and REO properties. I have trouble finding addresses and when they are being auctioned. All sites I have found ask for money and when i call banks i have received little info
How do foreclosures and defaults work? As far as I understand if a home owner misses 2 or 3 mortgage payments, his property is put on the county notice of default report. At that point the owner has 2 or 3 months to start making payments. If no payments are made, then the property is up for foreclosure and will be put on the auction. Is this correct? Do I have to pay cash on the auction?
Which part of The Constitution gives Congress to power to freeze foreclosures and roll back interest rates? I heard Hillary on the radio advocating a 90 freeze in home foreclosures (on sub-prime loans) and a 5 year freeze on interest rates (on sub-prime loans). Just where would congress get the authority to void millions of legal, private contracts, freely entered into by millions of people, under the existing laws of the 50 states and territories? For all of you who are worried about your rights, doesn't this make what President Bush has done pale in comparison?
Where can I find a list of foreclosures for free? Hey I am looking to buy a foreclosed home in Torrance, CA and was wondering where I could find a list of Foreclosures preferably for free. Does anyone have experience buying foreclosures. Are any of the websites actually worth it?
I have many delinquent credit cards, and 5 foreclosures, but I own a house free and clear? Is the house I own free and clear at risk? The foreclosures sheriff sales started in June. I do intend to pay all the credit cards back, I like others hit a bad spot in real estate and it just killed everything. I'm not trying to avoid paying at all, I considered bankruptcy, but I'd rather just pay it back instead. I appreciate the answers. I read credit cards are an un-secured debt, so basically I didn't agree to put my house up when I signed for the credit card, so it's not at risk. Can anyone confirm or deny that? Maybe this question should have been posted in the legal area.
Is there a free way to find listings of home foreclosures in my area? I live in the Metro DC area (Suburban Maryland) and I want to find homes that are in foreclosure. I know there are alot of home owners with subprime loans that purchased more home than they can really afford. Many of those loans are resetting at rates these people can't afford. Is there a list of home that are about to be or are currenlt in foreclosure? Is there a free database with this info?
How can I look at foreclosures for free? I think that the house behind me has gone into foreclosure. I would like to purchase the property, but every site I visit requires some sort of payment. There are no legit free ones. How can I find out if it has been foreclosed on without embarrasing my neighbors by asking?
are foreclosures a scam or can you really purchase a home that way? I don't have a lot of money to make large monthly payments but I would rather own then rent. So, I was thinking of purchasing a home that is in foreclosure because the monthly payments will be affordable since the dollar amount is lower. Can something like that really be done?
Where can I find home foreclosures for free on line? I live in Ohio and am looking to purchse a home. I've been trying to find repossed of foreclosed homes on line but all the sites I find want me to pay a subscription or member fee. There has to be public records somewhere. Any suggestions would be great!
How can I get started in buying foreclosures/hud properties without a lot of money saved up? My husband and I would really like to get into buying foreclosed, pre-foreclosed, and hud houses to flip them. The problem is- we already have a mortgage and only have about 10K in the bank. I've heard that you have to have cash to buy auctioned homes. Are there foreclosed homes you can get a loan for? I'm just learning about this so any advice about how we can finance this would be greatly appreciated.
How do i buy foreclosures in south florida? could anybody advise me on How do i buy home foreclosures in south florida main is the broward county area . i am working wih over 100K and looking to buy in the south florida area
How much money do we really need to buy foreclosures before or at auction? We are would be first time investors in real estate and have been studying up the various stages of foreclosure and the ways to buy. We thought we had enough to buy one property for us, and another as an investment, but having learned more about this market generally, and wanting to keep away from the lower priced, lots of repairs options, we are starting to get concerned about our ability to fund this grand plan. We will be able to get a line of credit on the home we would buy as a residence though. What other options have we got when we haven't time to raise a mortgage to close a deal?
How do foreclosures affect buying a house in the future? Here's the deal. The last five years I have made my living flipping houses and owning rental property. Everything was going great until last fall. I fell off a ladder and boke my leg in 5 places . I was unable to walk or do any physical labor for 6 months. And long story short I lost everything. By the time it was all said and done I had 15 of my places get foreclosed on including my house.I'm probably going to end up filing bankruptcy because I don't have the money to pay the creditors what I owe them. I understand that can't go back out and get a mortgage tommorrow but my question is will I ever be able to buy a house again? And if so. Realistically how long before I can get a mortgage?
